Originating from The Netherlands, i am currently living in Vienna, Austria. I moved to Vienna 11 years ago due to my new job at Coca-Cola Hellenic. This is the second biggest Coca-Cola bottler in the world and focussed on the Central and Eastern Europe region.

I have been working in the IT sector for more than 20 years and currently working as the Application Portfolio Manager. In this function responsible for the application portfolio management and strategy.

During my 20 years in IT, I have gained experience with Project Management, Departmental Management and Budget Management.

I have always been a big fan of Unix systems and since 2003 I have been running openSUSE on my pc and tried to spread the “virus” to my colleagues or proving that there were alternatives. In 2009 I created my first package on the openSUSE OBS, which resulted in an invitation to push it to a standard repo and to help out with the other KDE repositories. In 2009 I got in contact with some members that were working on getting Chromium to build on openSUSE and started also to help with this. Beginning 2012 I took the task to get the Plymouth bootsplash integrated with the openSUSE boot process.

Currently I am the main packager for the KDE repo’s, Chromium and Plymouth. The next integration challenge would be to work on the dracut package which create initrd files.
